Or you may want to double up on the application by using our products as an outdoor classroom or outdoor teaching facility… or as a canopy to cover an existing play area or secluded space.
Our natural timber product range covers various roof styles including thatch, cedar and felt shingle tiles, closeboard timber, canvas and polycarbonate. We can even supply “pop up” outdoor playground shelters which you can personalise with digital printing. We only use high quality timbers on our products – namely cedar or grade 4 (highest grade) tanalised softwoods – so that they will last for a long time and will require very little on-going maintenance once sited. Even our canvas outdoor shelters is a marine grade, PU coated heavy duty canvas.
Our fire pit shelter is one of our best sellers for those schools who have an active forest schools programme and who typically have an existing fire pit area. The fire pit shelter can either be an octagonal or square shape in either a timber or canvas roof (both of which have a fire retardancy properties built in). For the timber version, we usually allow for a ventilation hole to be cut away in the middle of the roof which has a two tier cap over it to stop the rain coming in.
Our attractive outdoor shelters come in a comprehensive range of different sizes (octagonal, rectangular and square) with a suite of options but we are also able to manufacture something bespoke if this suits your particular requirements. These type of shelters are becoming ever popular in schools who have a Forest Schools setting or environment as they are very much an extension to the outdoor classroom. It is possible therefore to add on some of our interesting eco options such as the educational wind turbine and solar panel package with energy monitoring board & power supply. Or you can have roll-down canvas panels to either totally or partially enclose the shelter when you so wish which again allows for use in all weathers and seasons.
And within our range, we also offer a nature watch hut where children can be up, close and personal with nature.
