Our treehouses for schools are really gaining in popularity but remember you don’t necessarily need a tree to have one! The Hideout House is a new and unique “treehouse” concept where the octagonal building is raised up on stilts to give the impression that you are living amongst the trees way up in the sky. Attractively designed, our treehouses can let school and children’s imaginations run wild and offer an exciting alternative to outdoor classrooms and learning. Always a favourite with school children that is for sure.
Or alternatively we can build an outdoor classroom around a tree instead for that authentic treehouse feel. Or go one step further and have the both but combined with an elevated walkway.
There is a range of external claddings to choose from and all internal designs, including fittings and fixtures, are bespokely supplied in consultation with you the customer so that you get what you want rather than what is sold to you. These claddings include premium grade cedar with an attractive cedar shingle tile roof, Scandinavian red wood pine or Siberian wany-edged larch.
You can either have these treehouses open-sided in a gazebo style or we can fully enclose them with either toughened glass or polycarbonate. Other options include internal benching, laminate or decked floors and an atrium roof to allow lots of natural daylight to come in from above. And we can even insulate them to keep the heat out in the summer and to keep them warm in winter. And if you are using the treehouse within a forest schools context, we could even look at adding a wood-burning stove!
For school environments, the Hideout House treehouse can also be adapted to include for play items such as lower level dens, tube slides, rock walls, rotating tyre swings and fireman’s poles.
A smaller mini version, the Pod Lodge, is also available to those who perhaps have a smaller budget or site area.
